How did you find Urbanests?

I met Tony Brettkelly (the Founder and CEO) a while back when Urbanests did not exist yet.  I was lucky enough to help lead our initial project for offering student housing in San Francisco, which grew during the years and became what we all know as Urbanests today.

Do you have any hobbies, talents, or interests?

I have played tennis since I was a kid, and I still try to play at least 3 times a week. I like yoga, and all outdoor sports and activities too, I like staying as active as possible! I also love summer and the beach, which is why I love San Francisco so much.

Tell us an interesting fact about you.

I have lived (studied or worked) in 6 countries – but San Francisco is my number one favorite city in the world!

Do you know any secret spots in the city we should know about?

My favorite locals-only spot in SF is the pool by the Golden Gateway Club by the Embarcadero. It is always sunny and beautiful there! I also really like to find spots in San Francisco where you can have the best views of the city. Some of my favorites are Telegraph hill, the Lion steps, the trails in the Presidio, and Bar Bocce in Sausalito (especially if you bike there, they have beautiful views of SF from the Golden Gate bridge!)

Describe your ideal day in San Francisco!

I love walking or biking up and down the hills. My ideal Sunday would be playing tennis early, then walking to the Ferry Building Farmers Market for a Blue bottle coffee and some fresh fruit, walking to Castro, and having brunch around Dolores park. I would finish up in the Marina for some late afternoon drinks and views of the Goldon Gate bridge.

Do you have any favorite restaurants or cafes you can recommend?

There are so many good places… Italian Home Made on Union Street, Hillstone on the Embarcadero, Osha for Thai food, Chez Maman for casual French in Hayes Valley, Blanc et Rouge wine bar at the Embarcadero (great Happy Hour;) ), Roma Cafe in North Beach, The foodtrucks at Presidio Picnic on Sundays or the ones at off the Grid in Fort Mason, the Ferry building cafe’s and restaurants, or Focaccia to grab a salad or sandwich for work. There are so many more, but that is all I can think of off the top of my head!
